RETIREMENT - A New Beginning?

About Me
Hi there
Well this is exciting after working for 48 years I have retired a year before my state pension is due in 2021 - I decided to "go early" due to Covid19 to keep myself safe from the virus and hopefully have some stress free times now Im retired. Originally I decided I would plan to do so many things but with lockdown most of these have become side lined until better times so I am here now deciding what to do with myself. I've always kept busy and being "on the road" as a Sales Representative most of my working life I've been used to meeting people so you can imagine my shock when the communication channels soon diminished and I felt lost and desperate to try and inject some purpose into my life. My wife still works part time and my daughter and son have thriving self employed businesses so I was quickly becoming the "idle" one of the bunch - so here we are 4 months on and trying to write a blog to inspire and help others. My aim is simply to advise,inform and share my life with others and where possible bring some help with surviving the pension years! So here we go - July 2020 and lift off!!
